Become aware of your identity in Christ

Tuesday May 7, 2024

Theme: “Become aware of your identity in Christ

Text: Ephesians 3:8-12

8. To me, who am the least of all saints, this grace has been granted to proclaim to the Gentiles the incomprehensible riches of Christ, 9. and to bring to light what is the dispensation of the mystery hidden from time immemorial in God who created all things, 10. so that the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places may know today through the Church the infinitely varied wisdom of God, 11. according to the eternal plan which he put into execution through Jesus Christ our Lord, 12. in whom we have, through faith in him, liberty to approach God with confidence.

Let's remember:

We recognize our fragility of being a vessel, even if we are in the service of the King. It is nevertheless true that there are vessels of gold that are more valuable than us. And yet, it is we who are clay vessels that the Lord God has chosen and invested with his grace to brighten up his table. We are the least of the disciples but we carry eternal life and we distribute it to anyone who would accept Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior. Our identity is therefore noble because salvation is our share. We are disciple-makers, stewards of the mysteries of God (1 Cor. 4:1). We are the ones who decipher the hidden mysteries of God. We serve to the pagans the delicacies and succulent dishes constituted by the Word of God. The dark world did not know the plan of God hidden behind the earthly mission of Jesus Christ. Many things are hidden from ordinary mortals but God reveals them to us Christians, his accomplices, in order to differentiate from the sons of wrath. The identity of God's children is an eternal identity even after death. In the celestial city, we will remain children of God. Thanks to our identity, we possess the divine wisdom which accompanies us during our earthly pilgrimage. It is a wisdom that cannot be acquired through money; it is not learned in conferences, theological seminars or other biblical institutes. It comes down from above to the Father through the Holy Spirit. Excellent Tuesday. Amen
