Theme: “Be in abundant faith“
Text: Romans 5:1-5
1. Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2. to whom we owe access by faith to this grace, in which we stand firm, and we glory in the hope of the glory of God. 3. Nay more, we even glory in afflictions, knowing that affliction produces perseverance, 4. perseverance victory in trial, and that victory hope. 5. Now hope does not deceive, because the love of God is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Let's remember:
Formerly we were pagans in the flesh, called uncircumcised because we were outsiders. Let us remember that we were at that time without Christ, disenfranchised in Israel, strangers to the covenants of promise, without hope and without God in the world. Then in God's due time, he justified us as it is written, “For by grace you are saved, through faith. And that does not come from you, it is the gift of God”. Not by works, lest any man boast. Faith is the link that binds us to the Father. Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Faith must never fail; it must never drop if we want to continue to enjoy divine favors. On the contrary, it must always be abundant, and more and more increasing. Even if we're only asked to have it the size of a mustard seed, but as long as we can, let's make our faith bigger than an orange. This is how the afflictions and cares of life will no longer embrace us. Abundant faith casts out afflictions and produces perseverance, victory in trial, and hope, a hope that does not deceive. Excellent Sunday. Amen Alain Louz.-
