Theme : “Be filled with the Holy Spirit” Text : Acts 9:10-17
10. Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision: Ananias! He replied: Here I am, Lord! 11. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, go into the street which is called the right hand, and seek in the house of Judas one named Saul of Tarsus. 12. For he was praying, and he saw in a vision a man named Ananias, coming in, and laying his hands on him, that he might receive his sight. Ananias answered: 13. Lord, I have heard from many people all the evils that this man has done to your saints in Jerusalem; 14. And he hath powers here, from the chief priests, to bind all that call upon thy name. 15. But the Lord said unto him, Go, for this man is an instrument which I have chosen, to bear my name before the nations, before kings, and before the children of Israel; 16. and I will show him how much he has to suffer for my name. 17. Ananias went out; and when he had come into the house, he laid his hands on Saul, saying, Saul, my brother, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the way by which you came, has sent me that you receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Let's remember :
We say it each time without fear of being mistaken, when Jesus calls a worker, however wicked he was, he always equips him to arm him with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit of God is an indispensable tool; better, an indispensable person for each missionary sent by God. When someone is not invested with the Holy Spirit, his road will never end and his mission will never be accomplished. The Holy Spirit is like a vessel that must always be filled in order to ensure the work willed by God; in order to contain the quantity necessary for the accomplishment of the said work. A true worker of God can pray and ask God his Master to fill another person with the Holy Spirit, it will happen. The Holy Spirit is also transmissible according to the will of God, according to the qualification, according to the call received, according to God's time and according to the mission to be accomplished. The Holy Spirit speaks and listens, finds solutions and solves problems that arise, regardless of place or time. The one who is filled with the Holy Spirit must be quick to listen to the voice of God, he must obey and accomplish the mission without asking questions. We are to be instruments of glory for God because he has filled us with the Holy Spirit. Let us refuse to be vessels of vile use because the Holy Spirit does not delight in such a life which would make it inoperative. Let us be filled with the Holy Spirit and work to keep the dose of the Spirit required to remain filled. Excellent Friday and good start into the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
