Theme: “Be filled with the Holy Spirit Text: Ezekiel 37:1-6

1. The hand of the LORD was upon me, and the LORD carried me away in the spirit, and laid me down in the midst of a valley full of bones. 2. He made me pass by them, all around; and behold, there were many of them on the surface of the valley, and they were completely dry. 3. He said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live again? I answered: Eternal Lord, you know it. 4. He said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5. Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones: Behold, I will cause a spirit to enter you, and you shall live; 6. I will give you nerves, I will make flesh grow on you, I will cover you with skin, I will put a spirit within you, and you will live. And you will know that I am the Lord.

Let's remember:

We only really live with all the spiritual faculties when the Holy Spirit is active and functioning in us. Death is not just when you stop breathing. Clinical death is not an end in itself. One can be in a very advanced state of putrefaction and then come back to life by the power of God; if God brings back the Spirit in us. This is how God manages to bring sinners back to salvation, when they were truly dead spiritually. When God breathes his Spirit into the person, a new cycle of life takes shape and drives out death. We are asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit in order to leave the state of physical or spiritual death and come back to life. There are a large number of people who believe they are alive while they are only walking bones for lack of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the person of God in us. To live a backslidden life is to be dead yet alive. We need to surrender ourselves to God so that he breathes his Holy Spirit into us and that we come back to life. As long as we can breathe, we can make the decision to receive God and his Spirit. Excellent Monday of return to God to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Amen Alain Louz.-
