Theme: "Assisting your neighbor"

Text: Isaiah 58:7-11

7. Share your bread with the hungry, And bring the poor homeless into your house; If you see a naked man, cover him, And do not turn away from your fellow man. 8. Then your light will break forth like the morning, And your healing will spring forth quickly; Your righteousness will go before you, And the glory of the Lord will follow you. 9. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer; You will cry, and he will say: Here I am! If you remove from the midst of you the yoke, The threatening gestures and the abusive speech, 10. If you give your own sustenance to the hungry, If you satisfy the needy soul, Your light will rise in the darkness, And your darkness will be like the noonday. 11. The Lord will guide you continually, He will satisfy your soul in dry places, And will restore strength to your bones; You will be like a watered garden, Like a spring whose waters do not fail.

Let us remember:

This is the secret of true happiness sought by everyone. Solomon teaches us in Proverbs 11:28, he says: "The generous soul will be satisfied, and he who waters will be watered himself". God's blessing can come from our isolated actions done towards our neighbor; with good dispositions of heart. We also know that "He who gives to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will reward him". Therefore, let us share our bread with the hungry, and let the homeless unfortunate enter our house. These are the codes of the Christian life not to be forgotten, because many divine blessings depend on them. Let us not throw away clothes that are still in good condition; there is someone who can still carry them. Likewise, the food that is lying around in the fridge, let's not throw it in the trash because there are people who will have the joy of eating it. We must think of our neighbor before wasting a supply. There are clothing collection houses, there are food banks. We can share everything, there are people who will accept an old armchair, old shoes, the old television that you want to throw away. Also, we must give what is new, not just old things that have lost their shine. By doing so, divine light will cover our darkness, God will heal even our illnesses, his justice and his glory will accompany us. God will answer our prayers just by helping our neighbor. Excellent Sunday. Amen
