A church that bears fruit

Friday October 27, 2023

Theme: “A church that bears fruit Text: Genesis 1:28

28. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moveth on the earth.

Let's remember:

God's plan for humanity is very clear. From the beginning of creation, God wanted his people to bear fruit so that this fruit would fill the earth. The fertility in question is the capacity to bear fruit, the capacity to generate offspring. He who is blessed bears fruit. Let it be understood that bearing fruit is an expression that fits into several horizons. To bear fruit is to be productive, it is to be a content creator, it is to be imaginative, it is to be able to lead a team, to be able to teach, to be a progenitor in short, to bear fruit is to bring existence that which does not exist visibly, that which is buried within us. To bear fruit is to produce or reproduce something that would take over and create uninterrupted continuity in space and time. Seen in this sense, bearing fruit would mean giving life and creating its sustainability. Therefore the grass bears fruit, the animal bears fruit, the earth bears fruit, man or woman bears fruit and the church also bears fruit. For his part, the fruit of the Christian must serve to give glory to God, to bless his neighbor, to perpetuate creation, to the subjection of the universe in order to dominate it. Bearing fruit is not a deliberate will of divine creation, it is a divine order that the Christian must restore. Today, several governments around the world have implemented birth control policies. They consist of restricting the number of births in each family; which is a brake on population growth and an obstruction of God's original plan. The consequences are already visible in the West with the aging of the population, some countries import labor elsewhere. Instead of becoming aware, the people of these countries prefer to raise domestic animals rather than bear fruit and fill the earth. The earth is very vast and 70% of the earth is unoccupied knowing that oceans and seas occupy 2/3 of the earth's surface. Excellent Friday and good start to the weekend. Amen Alain Louz.-
